Safe Streets Are Compassionate
Public safety is compassionate because ordinary people pay the price when government tolerates disorder, repeat violence and chaos.
Families should be safe on transit. Seniors should be safe walking downtown. Store owners should be able to open without expecting theft or violence. Vulnerable people struggling with addiction deserve a path to recovery, not abandonment in dangerous streets.
A positive Conservative approach can hold two truths together: support treatment and mental health care, and also create real consequences for repeat violent crime.
Safe streets are the foundation of freedom. Without safety, every other promise becomes weaker.
